BREAKING NEWS: NFL rumors: Six-time Pro Bowl receiver Russell Wilson is reportedly heading to the Steelers.

Is quarterback Russell Wilson of the Denver Broncos on his way to the Pittsburgh Steelers?

Absolutely, if Chad Ochocinco is to be believed.

The six-time Pro Bowl wide receiver revealed to Shannon Sharpe on the most recent episode of the Nightcap Podcast that he has heard rumors that Wilson will be the next quarterback for the Pittsburgh Steelers:

“I mentioned this many times before, but a little birdie told me Russell Wilson is visiting the Steelers.”

That could account for the sharp increase in the odds that Wilson would sign a contract with the Steelers in the latter part of last week.

The chances were +1400 at the end of the season for the experienced quarterback to play for the Steelers. But the odds have drastically decreased about a week after the Kansas City Chiefs defeated the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl 58, ending the 2023–24 campaign. Wilson’s chances of signing a contract with the Steelers are at -110.

Wilson had a difficult 2022 season with the Broncos, and it seemed like the quarterback was not a good match for the group. He did, however, play a lot better for Denver the previous season.

Nevertheless, in order to avoid having to pay Wilson’s games played bonus under his contract, head coach Sean Payton benched Wilson for the final two games of the campaign. The quarterback and the Broncos are expected to split ways at some point during the offseason.BREAKING NEWS: NFL rumors: Six-time Pro Bowl receiver Russell Wilson is reportedly heading to the Steelers.

The Steelers, who had trouble with their offensive output for a large portion of the season, could use an experienced quarterback. Although injuries cut short Kenny Pickett’s season, the Steelers turned to backup Mitch Trubisky and Mason Rudolph as the starting quarterback.

The Steelers parted ways with Trubisky when he failed miserably, but Rudolph provided them a boost and they qualified for the AFC playoffs before losing to the Baltimore Ravens.
